Jeremy Nathans, M.D., Ph.D, is the 2020 recipient of the Benjamin Franklin Medal in Life Science

Since 1824, The Franklin Institute of Philadelphia has honored the legacy of Benjamin Franklin by presenting awards for outstanding achievements in science, engineering, and industry. The Franklin Institute is pleased to announce that Jeremy Nathans, M.D., Ph.D, is the 2020 recipient of the Benjamin Franklin Medal in Life Science.  Dr. Nathans received the award in recognition of his groundbreaking research on the genetics of the visual system, including the identification of key genes involved in eye development, eye diseases, and color vision.
